BasketBall Bounces

BasketBall Bounces

Expressions and 3D layers to control the shadows and bouncing. The only keyframes in the project are in the xz position dimensions.

Dark Hallway

Dark Hallway

3D camera projection project created with After Effects and Photoshop Vanishing Point. VPE makes it a really fast and easy exercise but next time I”m going to start with a picture that has a higher resolution. Still it turned out pretty cool after using some lights and material attributes inside of AE.

Hint

When using Vanishing Point, create a vertical surface first, then use it to create the floor and other surfaces. This usually helps avoid the strange offsetting and rotating that can occur when importing a VPE file into After Effects.

Orient Along Path w/o moving layers

Orient Along Path w/o moving layers

Proof of concept. Auto-orient along path works well when the layers are moving along a path, but the project required many duplicates that where static but as more duplicates where created we moved down the path. Since the layers weren’t moving the auto-orient to motion path wasn’t working so we had to find another way.

If you can understand Itialian then head over to videoMakers.net and check out the tutorial that this project was a proof of concept for.
